Christmas and New Year's Updates (and pics)...

We had a wonderful Christmas break and New Year's at home in Indiana.  We were there from Dec 23rd to Jan 1st.  It was a fabulous vacation (with the exception of the stomach bug we call came down with, at least it arrived AFTER Christmas!).

Here we are Christmas Eve evening at my mom's...

We had a special visit from Santa Claus on Christmas Eve.  My dad dressed up as Santa (a role he's played many, many times throughout the years) and Leo and Chae thought that was really cool.  My Grandma, Papa, Aunt Jamie and Uncle Richard also found it to be rather enjoyable.  My dad really gets into the dress-up and never breaks character.  It was great!

Santa brought Leo a nice little spread.  Obviously, his most favorite was his bike!  He ran up to that bike, jumped on, and told everyone it was "Leo's bike" for the rest of the vacation.

On Christmas morning we all wake up and take turns opening gifts.  Katie and Brett always have tons of gifts so they take turns with each other until James and I can join in.  It's always a lot of fun and we all made out very well.

Then we head to dad's house and spend time up there.  We open our gifts and then usually take a trip down to the cabin, although we didn't go to the cabin this year.  We headed back to mom's and did our stockings and played our annual game of dirty santa.  It was a blast.  Kyle, Shanda, Alexus, Rhaelen, Kendra, and Alex were there for the fun.

We visited Dusty and Dawson.  The boys had fun playing although it was impossible to get a picture with both of them smiling for the camera!

On New Year's Eve we went out to our friend's Heather and Dan's for a fun evening with the kids.  It's always great to see them and their kids are so sweet.

As always it was a great trip home.  We've gotten back into our usual routine and it will be springtime before we know it.  Leo is growing up so fast, and he is turning in to a sweet little guy.  He's talking really well and using 5-6 word sentences regularly.  He's a good helper, too.  We have so much fun.
