Three Years Old...

Leo is officially three years old.  We celebrated on his actual birthday with a trip to build-a-bear (where he built-a-dog he named Ruffy) and then we headed to Chuck-E-Cheese for a fun-filled dinner.  I must say, it was quite enjoyable because it was not crowded at all.

We had his birthday party yesterday.  We rented a bounce house and had a few friends and family over to mom's house.  It was a perfect day!  I made the cake and other treats and everything turned out as I'd hoped.

Leo is a great little boy.  He's so smart and so considerate.  I am so proud of him.  He's adjusted very well to our big move and is really enjoying spending so much time with his grandma and grandpas.  I am so happy we are up here now...I can't imagine living so far away from everyone again.

Here are pictures from his actual birthday and his birthday party...

It was a wonderful, wonderful day!  (and we were ALL exhausted at the end of it!)
I love you Leo.  I am so proud of you!!!

Two Years Old...

Leo's second birthday was on September 18. I realize I am several weeks months late in posting these pictures.  (I am horrible).

To start, I was determined to make his birthday cake. I love to bake and set out to create a two-tier Yo Gabba Gabba cake. It was my first attempt at a two-tier cake and I must say it was a success. Here are some pictures of the cake construction and his excitement to see hi Gabba cake!:

I made the cakes from scratch, as well as the icing.  The bottom tier was vanilla cake and the top tier was chocolate.  The little gabba characters are actually bath squirters.  He still plays with them in the tub...

He had a great, fun-filled birthday.  We went to the park to play and then came home to open presents:

After a good nap, Leo woke up and we played with his new toys.  Mommy and Daddy got him an activity table for his playroom.  One side of the table is for his legos and the other side has a train track and some other fun little pieces...

We actually gave him the table the day before...

He loves it!

We sang Happy Birthday and had cake that evening.  It was a wonderful 2nd birthday!

He's growing up too fast...
